Hey, we’re Josh and Olivia—your composting pals from Lewiston/Auburn! Welcome to Maine Compost Co, where we’re turning food scraps into something pretty amazing: rich, healthy soil that grows nutrient-packed food. It all started with a simple idea—what is a service that we can provide that will give back to the state we love so much and the people in it? The answer: compost!

Josh has spent years learning the ins and outs of composting. He attended the Maine Compost School and quickly built strong connections in Maine’s composting community.

Olivia has always found ways to give back to her home state—through local initiatives, community work, and a deep-rooted love for Maine.

Together, their shared passion sparked their soul project: Maine Compost Co.

We’re not just about composting—we’re rooted in our community and dreaming big. While our curbside compost collection is where it all begins, our vision stretches across Maine and beyond. In the future, we’ll be offering landscaping and gardening services, so your yard can thrive with the very compost you helped create. And we’re not forgetting local businesses—starting in Spring 2025, we’ll provide tailored compost pickups to help you reduce waste and save on costs.
