Thanks to our partner composting facility, we can accept all food waste โ even meat, bones, and weeds.
At the facility, massive compost piles heat up to over 130ยฐF, driven by heat-loving microbes. This process breaks down everything, including tough materials like bones and weed seeds, turning it into rich compost that nourishes Maine's soil.
